Msn Messenger requires to upgrade

There are numbers of people who’re facing this in their computer. Few has slower speed and other are too lazy to update. However I overcome with a solution. Wondering why an option is there named as “Compatibility mode” when we go to the properties of an executable file. Check out one of it’s use.

Make sure to that MSN shouldn’t be running. Kindly quit the running MSN Messenger

  • Go to the directory where Msn messenger is installed. About default it is C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger (commonly this is directory where MSN Messenger (Not Live Messenger) is located.)
  • Go to the properties of the file “msnmsgr.exe”
  • Go to the Compability Tab
  • Check the Box of ” Run this program in compability mode for”
  • Set the value Windows 2000
  • Click OK

Hence done. Run the msnmsgr.exe again and a process line will be covered out. Don’t worry it is very common that it takes the changes effect. After it finished, MSN Messenger will be dropped at your screen, You can now login! No upgrade will be required.

Cheers!
